Our Story

Built to provide the community of Missoula a new option for good, old-fashioned fun, the Carousel continues to entertain the children (and the adults) in our area with rides on the beautifully crafted horses as well as with family friendly events. Whether we’re helping children celebrate their special day or seeing families come together for a little playtime, we’re happy to be part of what makes Missoula so special!

We are also welcoming home a very special antique horse that ran many miles on this exact carousel frame 65 years ago in Incline Village, Nevada. Come see him spin once again with his new herd!

**We invite you to join Santa at the Carousel on Sunday, December 15th for visits, light continental breakfast snacks and unlimited Carousel Rides from 9:00 – 10:30 am! Entry fee is $5 for everyone age 5 – Adult. Age 4 and under are free. Come ride Santa’s very special pony – only on the Carousel until January.

THE CAROUSEL IS OPEN DAILY YEAR ROUND! (with the exception of Christmas Day and our annual shutdown period in January for pony and machine restoration).

Fall hours (September – early June) 11:00 am – 5:30 pm (We may close early if hosting a private event – call to confirm)

SUMMER HOURS: (June -August) 11:00 AM-7:00 PM (We may close early if hosting a private event – call to confirm)

*Between September and May we operate with a very small staff – we must have advance notice if you are planning to bring a large group in order to arrange for adequate staffing to allow us to safely and efficiently accommodate you.

Our annual Shutdown Period will occur from January 6-17th, 2024
